1860 U.S. census, Momence, Kankakee County, Illinois: Elijah Ellingwood

A screenshot, 4 October 2026. Post office Momence. Elijah Ellingwood, 40, male, master carpenter, real estate $800, personal estate $500, born Indiana; Mary A., 38, wife, born Maine; Adaline, 18, Jane, 10, Nancy, 8, and Finley, 4, all born Indiana, the girls at school. (Ancestry indexes the head as “Elizah”.)

Finley is “4”, which does not fit his birth in September 1852 (he would be 7); Nancy, at 8, would be the one born about 1852.
