What it says

In order, as read so far (initials to confirm): E. Osborn(?), J. Ashley, J. Weaver, W. Price, M. Weaver, J. Jones, W. Cornett(?), C. Gilley, S. Laytham(?), J. Maxwell; then the Reed heads, with E. Powell among them (the index gives one S. Reed and two J. Reeds; the page may hold a fourth Reed line); then two Collins heads (the second “A.”, possibly Ambrose); then J. Hollinsworth, J. Hollinsworth, W. Hollinsworth and V. Hollinsworth (Vincent); then L. Lunce[ford?]; then W. Morefield(?), four Weavers, G. Ayers(?) and D. Workman.

  • “J Reed”: 11 people, counted white: 3 boys under 10, 2 boys 10-15, a man 26-44, 3 girls under 10, a girl 10-15, a woman 26-44. Taken to be James Reed, Mary Reed’s father.
  • “S Reed”: 3 people, counted white: a man 16-25, a man 45 and over, a woman 45 and over. Fits Stephen Reed Sr and his wife with a son.

Still to read: the “all other free persons” and slave columns for each Reed, Collins and Hollingsworth row; the second J. Reed’s household; which J. Reed row carries the household of 11.
