What it says

Family tradition from Mrs. William S. Ginn: “Thomas Ginn emigrated from Plymouth, England ca 1701. Tradition is that he was sent by the English Government to survey Virginia and that he taught George Washington to survey… some of his family lived in Orange town, Maryland.” Lists James b. Oct. 4, 1745, Josiah 1749, Samuel 1753 (Dorchester Co., Md.), Ann, Sarah and Thomas; and the twelve children of Capt. James Ginn, as Mollie Pfeiffer has them but with “Polly Ginn, 1788-1842” in place of “Peleg”.
