Gives Bennett Hodsoll’s baptism at All Saints Barking, London, 23 Aug 1596, as daughter of John Hodsoll and his first wife Anne Maundy; John Hodsoll’s second marriage, about 1614, to Faith (Moorer) (Bacon) Bareham; the Hodsoll children’s baptisms at All Saints Barking or St Dunstan’s, Stepney; and the Freeman-Hodsoll marriage at Cowfold, 16 June 1617. Describes John Hodsoll as a mariner and “a major supplier of wood products to the Royal Navy.”

This resolves the “Faith” of older sources: Faith was Bennett’s stepmother.
