Also Bennett Freeman

Daughter of John Hodsoll, probably baptized at All Saints Barking, London, in 1596; she married Edmund Freeman at Cowfold, Sussex, in 1617, and her sister Christian married his brother William. She was buried at Pulborough in April 1630. Her father's estate was the subject of the Chancery suit Edmund brought in 1633/4 for their five living children, probably among them Elizabeth, who married John Ellis.

Notes

Her sister Christian married Edmund’s brother William Freeman in 1620. Her father’s estate was the subject of the Chancery suit of January 1633/4, nearly four years after her death, which Edmund brought for their five living children against his brother William, John Gratwicke and others. The depositions are the only record of four of the children’s baptisms (Dawes-Gates 2:350, paraphrasing).
