"Capt. Timothy" Ide, 5 Apr 1735 (Rehoboth VR p. 840). Very probably this Timothy: the later "Lieut. Timothy, in 81st year" (d. 26 Dec 1768) fits his son born in 1688.

Notes

Of Rehoboth. Children (Rehoboth VR p. 649): Timothy 1688; Elizabeth, Mar 16, 1690; Mary 1692; Sarah 1694; Rachal and Experience 1696; Josiah 1698; Daniell 1701.

The Rehoboth VR records the deaths of “Capt. Timothy” Ide on 5 Apr 1735 and of “Elizabeth, widow, in 83d year” on 8 Feb 1744/5. A later “Lieut. Timothy, in 81st year” (d. 26 Dec 1768) fits his son born in 1688, so the captain is very probably this Timothy and the widow very probably his wife (inference).

  • Disproven
Capt. Daniel Read's wife Elizabeth Ide was Nicholas's daughter, born 1658

That Elizabeth would have been 57 at the 1715 wedding. Daniel's wife was her niece Elizabeth, born 16 Mar 1689/90 to Timothy Ide and Elizabeth Cooper, so a granddaughter of Nicholas. She died 31 Dec 1759 "in her 70th y."
