His gravestone reads 8 June 1706 (MD 8:4), but his will is dated 12 June 1706 and was sworn to on 19 July and 12 Aug 1706, so he probably died between 12 June and 19 July and the stone's date is wrong.

Spouse 1
Elizabeth Barnes b. 1644

The Hingham history marries Elizabeth Barnes to a Murfea or Murfett, very likely a mis-rendering of Mulford; TAG 40:193-198 has the Mulford marriage, per WikiTree.

Spouse 2
Hannah (Williams) Smith

Barclay (TAG 40:193-198, 1964), via WikiTree. Widow of a Smith who died in 1678/9; her father's will called her Hannah Mulford in 1692. "My wife Hannah" in Thomas's will.

Notes

Father of Elder Thomas Mulford of Truro (WikiTree, citing Barclay in TAG 40:193-198, 1964, which has not been read).

Constable of Eastham, chosen June 1677 (PCR 5:231). This was the elder Thomas, since his son was then about 11 (inferred).

His stone stands in the Cove Burying Ground, Eastham: “HERE LYES Ye BODY OF THOMAS MULFORD AGED ABOUT 66 YEARS DIED JUNE Ye 8 1706” (Find a Grave, with photograph; MD 8:4). His will is dated “This Twelfth Day of June 1706,” four days after the date on the stone. It names his wife Hannah, sons Thomas and John, grandsons Thomas Mulford and Thomas Doane, and daughters Patience Doane and Elizabeth Mulford; witnesses swore to it on 19 July and 12 Aug 1706 (Barnstable Probate 3:320-324, per WikiTree). So he probably died between 12 June and 19 July 1706 and the stone’s date is wrong (inferred).

Barclay (TAG 40:193-198, 1964) identified his second wife as the widow Hannah (Williams) Smith, married after her first husband died in 1678/9 and before 1692, when her father’s will called her Hannah Mulford. Her father named only her Smith children, so Thomas’s children were probably all by Elizabeth Barnes (compiled).
