Notes

Wife of Thomas Genn of the Choptank River, Maryland, married about 1743 (Genn family study), and administratrix of his estate in 1767 or 1768: “Sicely Genn was named as the administratrix of his estate, which included one new vessel frame under construction” (Genn study, ch. 5). The study calls her “Sicely Stewart” but gives no source for the maiden name.

Rev. Nathan Genn (1883) “suggested… that these were not the children of Sicely (Cecely) but were by an earlier wife (possibly a Sarah). This remains unresolved.”
