Anna White
Wife of John Porter, whom she married at Messing, Essex, in 1620, and probably the mother of Samuel Porter of Hadley. Baptized at Messing in 1600, probably a daughter of Robert White and Bridget Allgar, she came with her husband and nine children to Windsor, Connecticut, about 1638-39, and died there in 1647.

Mother of Samuel Porter of Hadley. Stiles, from the Messing parish register: “Anna … was bp. 13 July, 1600, and was the dau. of Robt White of M., by his wife, Bridget (dau. of William) Allgar of Shalford, County Essex, and was probably the sister of Mary White of M., who m. Joseph Loomis, the emigrant ancestor of the Windsor family of that name.” She married John Porter of Felsted at Messing on 18 Oct 1620, came with him and nine children to Windsor about 1638-39, and died there in 1647, a year before him (source). Another sister, Elizabeth, married William Goodwin of Hartford, and the three sisters are thought to have been sisters of Elder John White.
