Inventory of Richard Ellingwood, Frankfort, 1803: the docket
About it
The back of the folded inventory of Richard Ellingwood’s estate, as filed. The writing runs down the right-hand panel: “Inventory / Richard Ellinwood,” then a clerk’s note, “not sworn to having been dd [delivered?] into ye Office by Judge Gordon [?],” and the file number “#2056” twice. The inventory itself, of 24 May 1803, lists his store goods, the dwelling house and barn, 72 acres of homestead land and three-quarters of the schooner Hope. Hope Ellenwood, his widow and executrix, swore to it at Castine in November 1803. The faint columns of figures showing through are the inventory on the other side.
