Cudge and Goz at Winnetka, 1937

Two men in suits sitting on a low stone wall before a brick house (page 1); on the back (page 2), “Nov. 7, 1937 / Winnetka / Cudge [?] + Goz just before we came West.” The family moved from Madison to Spokane that month. Ruth’s brother Jeffrey Short and his wife Nancy had a home at Winnetka (Cudge’s memoir, scan 82); who Goz was is not known, nor which of the two is Cudge.
