Wife of Major Nathan Low; "of Dear Isle" when she married him at Boxford in 1792. As "Rebekah Low" she released her dower in his deed of 1803. The Deer Isle clerk entered their children's births on one page: Lucy, Mary, Rebekah, Thomas Thompson and Nathan.
Hosmer (pp. 143-144) says her husband came "from the county of Worcester, Massachusetts, prior to 1800," that he was "by trade a tanner ... probably one of the most skilful farmers that was ever in the town," and that he later owned "one of the lots laid out to Mr. Thomas Thompson near Thompson's Cove," her father's land. Hosmer gives three sons by Rebecca, among them Thomas T. Low and Nathan Low Jr. (p. 144).
