- note
- John Greenaway's wife at the time of the 1650 deed, which calls their daughter Ursula "dutifull ... vnto her aged father & mother"; it names Mary's father, not her mother.
Wife of Thomas Millett; came with him on the Elizabeth in 1635. Mollie Pfeiffer gave her death date of 1682 to her daughter Mary (Millett) Riggs.
Her sisters, per NEHGR 32:55-56: Ann (Pierce), Ursula (Batten), Katharine (Daniel), Elizabeth ("probably the wife of John Allen") and Susanna (Wales). Ursula sailed with the Milletts on the Elizabeth in 1635, aged 32. Mary, her mother and three of her sisters signed Dorchester petitions of about 1648 in favour of "a noted midwife, Alice Tilley" (NEHGR 32:55).
Online trees put her marriage at St Saviour's, Southwark, but give two dates, 1 May 1629 and 7 Feb 1632. Neither cites a source.
Open questions
- Was John Greenaway's wife Mary her mother? The 1650 deed names only her father.
