Of Plymouth. His estate's administrators were empowered in October 1789; its account lists "the farm in Plymouth with the Buildings thereon occupied by George Ellis & to him sold," at £240, and they deeded land to George Ellis, his son-in-law, in 1794.

Davis gives his children as Edward (b. 6 Feb 1747/8); William (1752); Sylvanus (m. Betsey, widow of James or Joseph Doten); John (m. Elizabeth Battles); Samuel (went to Maine); Lemuel; Benjamin; Zacheus; Sally (m. Isaac Bonney); Phebe (m. George Ellis); Mary (m. Asa Sherman); and Elizabeth (m. Joseph Robbins). Only Edward, William and Phebe have files; the rest have no dates in the research.

Mollie Pfeiffer has him and Phebe living at Carver. That fits their son Edward, "of Carver" at his marriage in 1802; Edward Jr. was buried on Burial Hill in 1788, before Carver was set off (1790).
