note
Jeremiah Howes's will names a daughter Sarah Mayo; Hawes and Elliot make her Daniel's wife. A son named Jeremiah and Middleborough land in Daniel's estate support it.

Born at Eastham: "Also a Sonne named Danyell borne the five and twentyeth of June in the yeare one thousand Six hunderd Sixty foure." As "daniel mayo" he witnessed Daniel Cole Jr.'s deed to Ichabod Higgins, dated "17 march 1689/90," alongside Assistant John Freeman; Cole signed by mark (MD 2:3, from the transcript of the original deed). He was the only Daniel Mayo of age at that date (inferred). His father's will (1702) made "my loving wife Hannah Mayo and my son Daniel Mayo" executors and left a silver spoon to "my Grandchild Sarah Mayo the daughter of my son Daniel."

Administration of his estate went to his son Daniel on 8 Apr 1715. The 1716 division named Daniel (eldest son), Jeremiah, Bethiah, Margery, Sarah Paine, Elizabeth and Mary. Mayo-Rodwick says the estate included land at Middleborough.

He was a son of John Mayo and Hannah Lecraft, not of Nathaniel Mayo and Hannah Prence, who were his uncle and aunt.
