Called his daughter in the Holbrook genealogies. His will of 15 Jan 1675/6, as printed in the Pierce Genealogy (pp. 34-35), gives "my daughter, Abigail Holbrook five pounds."

Abigail was a daughter of Capt. Michael Pierce of Scituate. In 1671 she married John Holbrook (c. 1650-1731) of Scituate, and their son Thomas was born on 15 Jan 1672 (Pierce Genealogy p. 36). Her father's will of 15 Jan 1675/6 gives "my daughter, Abigail Holbrook five pounds" and another £5 to "my grandchild Abigail Holbrook" (pp. 34-35): very probably her daughter Abigail, born 11 May 1675 and then eight months old.

Ten weeks later her father was dead, killed near Pawtucket on 26 Mar 1676 leading his company in what became known as Pierce's Fight. When the will was presented at the court of 22 July 1676, the executor, Benjamin Pierce, was ordered to hold back a quarter of each legacy until the estate proved clear of debts (Records of the Colony of New Plymouth 5:203), so part of her £5 probably waited a while.

Her son John was born on 19 Nov 1686 (Pierce Genealogy p. 36). She died at Scituate on 29 Sept 1723, aged 77, and is buried beside her husband.
