“I Edmond Freeman, the eldest of the name in Sandwich, being in a good measure in health of body.” Executors “my three Sons, namely, my son Edmond Freeman, and my son John Freeman, and Edward Perry,” and “my Daughter Elizabeth Ellis, executrix.” Lands east of Matthias Ellis’s to his sons; the Rye-field, Hedges-meadow and half the Waquanchett land to grandson Thomas Paddy; lands west and north of Matthias’s in thirds, two to Edward Perry (“my son Edward Perry”) and one to Elizabeth Ellis. Witnesses John Fish and Nathan Nye (marks).
Inventories: one “taken … the fourth of Oct., 1682, at New Oxford,” of the goods “sett forth by Elizabeth Ellis of her father” (a silver basin £8, silver tankard £4, “One dixionary & gt. Bible,” a great wainscot chest); one at Sandwich, 22 Oct 1682, “all the land at his late dwelling” £150. “New Oxford” is unidentified.
