  • 27 Sept 1907, p. 4 (image): “E. C. Pfeiffer of Los Angeles, arrived in Gardnerville Tuesday [24 Sept] and as principal took charge” of the school.
  • 13 Dec 1907, p. 4 (image, page): “Prof. Pfeiffer’s wife and child arrived from Los Angeles last Sunday” [8 Dec]. The issue of 20 Dec, p. 4, adds that they live “in the house owned by H. A. Pitta” [or Pitts].
  • 28 Feb 1908, p. 4: “Through the efforts of Prof. Pfeiffer, a public library has been established in Gardnerville.”
  • 5, 12 and 26 June 1908, p. 1 (image of 12 June, page): “Mrs. F. H. Pfeiffer wishes to announce that she is ready to take pupils in Literature, Dramatic Art, Oratory, Elocution, Physical Culture and Voice … Also will form a Shakespeare class.”
  • 19 June 1908, p. 1 (image, page): on Monday, 15 June, the high-school girls gave “Mrs. F. H. Pfeiffer … a handsome sterling-silver, complete desk-set … in recognition of her very able and helpful work for the graduation speaking, and for the play afterwards.” The card was signed by Marie Hellwinkel, Mathilda Jepsen and Oliver Hougner.
  • 10 July 1908, p. 4 (image, page): “E. C. Pfeiffer, who filled the position as principal of the Gardnerville school last term left Gardnerville this week. His family accompanied him.”

She came from Los Angeles; the Harvard class report puts Emil at Santa Barbara from 1905 to 1907 (reports-harvard-class-1889-pfeiffer).
