What it says

The township index for Emily (fiche 22, pp. 4712-4716, PDF pp. 241-245; and fiche 23, p. 4773), read in the Emily research pass (research/dwyer/Flynns_of_Emily_Township.md, October 2026). “PR” marks a Peter Robinson immigrant.

  • N½ lot 11, concession 10: William Flynn, located 24 Nov 1825 (RG 1 C-I-4, vol. 20, p. 256); Order-in-Council in his name, 14 Aug 1846 (RG 1 C-I-3, vol. 154, p. 25).
  • S½ lot 11, concession 10: John Flynn, located 24 Nov 1825 (same page); Order-in-Council, 21 Apr 1834 (vol. 154, p. 8).
  • N½ lot 10, concession 9: Daniel Flynn, located 24 Nov 1825 (vol. 20, p. 255).
  • January 1846, N½ lot 11, concession 10, an assignment through the Heir and Devisee Commission to John Flynn, residence Emily (RG 1 C-I-3, vol. 92, p. 5). The Commission heard claims by the heirs, devisees and assignees of the original nominees. The index does not say which John was; the claim papers (Archives of Ontario, RG 40) would.

A father and two grown sons on neighbouring half-lots is the pattern of the 1825 locations. The Nine Ships 1825 table has William on the S½ of lot 11, against the index’s N½.
