What it says
An online index of apprenticeships, freedoms and masters in the London livery companies, cited by
event ID (open as https://www.londonroll.org/event/?company=drp&event_id= followed by the ID).
Entries used for the Warren line:
- DRML4603: a Richard Warren made free of the Drapers’ Company in 1609 by servitude to Edward Dobson.
- DRHT3600, DRLL1623, DRLL1624: the same draper as a master with his own household in London from 1610. He took Henry Mellyn as apprentice in 1610 and Nicholas Simpkins on 3 March 1612/13, each for nine years, and took none after that. Simpkins was made free on 3 March 1623/24 with Warren named as his master. Henry Mellyn never appears again.
- DREB53: Simon Adams, overseer of Augustine Walker’s will and husband of his daughter Dorothy, free of the Drapers in 1596 (https://www.londonroll.org/event/?company=drp&event_id=DREB53).
Nothing in the index ties the draper Richard Warren to Elizabeth Walker or to the Mayflower passenger.
