What it says
Unrelated. This record belongs to the Pålsson family of Malmö, which was taken for Anna Mary Paulson’s on 5 October 2026 and ruled out the same day (that Anna Matilda married in Malmö in 1902). Kept so the family is not attached again; see research/paulson/anna-paulson-swedish-origins.md.
Found on FamilySearch, 5 October 2026 (image in the Gallery). Page 46, “S.f. 48” (Södra förstaden, Malmö’s southern suburb, in S:t Petri parish). Read from the image:
| Name | Born | Birthplace |
|---|---|---|
| Pålson, Nils, trädgårdsmästare (gardener) | 2 July 1842 | Oxie |
| Hu[stru] (wife) Kersti Anderson | 20 Sept 1844 | Svedala |
| B[ar]n (children): Johan Alfred | 21 July 1870 | “Förs.” (this parish) |
| Karl Peter | 15 Sept 1872 | ditto |
| Anna Matilda | 28 March 1874 | ditto |
| Bernhard Ulrik | 2 July 1878 | ditto |
| Axel Viktor | 11 March 1881 | ditto |
| Pål Josef | 22 Dec 1883 | ditto |
- Nils and Kersti married 18 Oct 1869. The family came from S.f. 48, p. 31 of the previous roll, in 1885.
- Nils died 8 January 1886 (the “Död” column).
- The household moved to S:t Pauli parish, Malmö (“S. Pli” in the “moved to” column), on 23 November 1886 (the day might be read 27; read here as 29). A bracket joins Nils’s and Kersti’s lines to moving certificate no. 1236, the widow’s; the children follow, with ditto marks, on certificate no. 1237. The whole household was then struck through here.
The children’s birthplace is written “Förs.” for the first and dittoed for the rest: församlingen,
“this parish”, that is, Malmö S:t Petri (first misread here as Fosie; the 1880 census and the
1887-1897 Malmö family census both say S:t Petri). Anna Matilda’s birth on 28 March 1874 fits the baptism indexed at
Malmö on 4 April 1874 (Anna Matilda, daughter of Nils Pahlson and Kerstin Anderson;
parish-register-sweden-baptisms-paulson).
