John Adams Vinton, The Vinton Memorial (Boston, 1858)

A compiled account of the Weymouth and Scituate Holbrooks. Gives Capt. William Holbrook’s wife as Elizabeth Pitts, calls Capt. John’s daughter who married Joseph Nash Grace (Weaver and Davis say Elizabeth), and differs from the Scituate VR on the birth month of Experience, daughter of John (b. c. 1650). Of the ten children of John Holbrook (b. 1686) and Sarah Chittenden: John the eldest “removed to Maine,” and “most of the others settled at Eastham and Wellfleet.”
