What it says
The narrative of Mary (White) Rowlandson’s captivity after the attack on Lancaster, 10 Feb 1675/6,
read in the Project Gutenberg text in the Ellingwood kin research
(research/ellingwood/Ellingwood_Kin_Connections.md). After her ransom, searching for their children,
her husband Rev. Joseph Rowlandson “was not willing to stay [at Newbury] that night, but would go over
to Salisbury, to hear further, and come again in the morning, which he did, and preached there that
day.” His brother Thomas’s family lived at Salisbury.
