G. H. Nye and F. E. Best, A Genealogy of the Nye Family (1907)

Unsourced. Gives Mercy Nye, daughter of Benjamin, as the wife of Matthias Ellis, with a list of her children that has several errors (p. 30). Its Biddenden, Kent, pedigree for Benjamin Nye is “almost certainly spurious” (NEHGR 158, 2004). The only source for the death of Benjamin Nye Jr. at Pierce’s Fight, 26 Mar 1676, and for the 1670 date of Mary Nye’s marriage to Jacob Burge.
