Joseph a supervisor at the first town meeting, 5 Apr 1842 (pp. 776-777). William H. Bell of Elkhorn,
elected coroner in 1874, “chosen at four successive elections (the last one in 1880)” (Beckwith,
vol. 1, p. 91). Richard C. Fairchild, a county supervisor in 1855.
