What it says

The printed visitations Mollie Pfeiffer cites for the Peck descent “for twenty-one generations of John Peck of Belton,” read in the archive.org full texts (vol. 2 at https://archive.org/details/visitationofcoun02camd; vol. 18 at https://archive.org/details/visitationofches00glov). The Peck pedigrees in vols. 2 and 16 begin with Richard Peck of Wakefield, who married Margaret, “doughter & heyre of … Heselden”; they have no Belton and no Beccles branch. Vol. 18 has no Peck pedigree (Ira B. Peck appears only as a subscriber). Vol. 3 p. 27 has not been checked. “Norton” appears only as the married name of a Margaret Peck. So the place of Robert Peck of Beccles in the Wakefield family is not shown.
