What it says
Encyclopedia article on John Howland (c. 1599-1672/3), Mayflower passenger, servant to Governor John Carver. Gives his brothers Henry and Arthur as later settlers at Marshfield, his service as deputy to the General Court (1641-1655 and 1658), and identifies him as the man in charge of Plymouth’s Kennebec trading house in the Hocking affair of 1634, with Moses Talbot as the Plymouth man killed. Bradford, who tells the story, names neither.
