What it says
“Bernard Clauss and Adam Haberkorn were the leaders in organizing the parish … thirty-two of these
faithful Catholics met on March 28, 1852, to form a parish,” and built a log church dedicated to
Saint William. Oldt’s History of Dubuque County (1911), p. 877, names “Adam Haberkoen” among the
