What it says
Read 10 Oct 2026. Duff Pattullo’s Yukon years, 1897-1908. After a fire inquiry rebuked him as a Dawson alderman in 1905, “This stinging rebuke did not put Pattullo in his place. Not only did he continue to believe he had done no wrong…”; his fights with Commissioner Congdon gave “added meaning to his assertion in later life that he had never knowingly double-crossed anyone.” The minister wrote that he had been “a very exemplary official” though “irregularities in his personal habits” had made difficulties.
