Sarah Gerow
Wife of John M. Bell of Geneva, New York, whom she married at Vienna, New York, in 1827 as "Sarah Giraud of Manchester", and probably the mother of William Hamilton Bell. The Ancestry tree has her born about 1806 in Westchester County, a daughter of Daniel A. Gerow and Anna Hammond, but nothing yet ties her to that family.

Notes
Wife of John M. Bell: “Bell, John M. of Geneva m 12/3/27 Sarah Giraud of Manchester in Vienna, NY” (the Geneva Gazette, 5 Dec 1827, as abstracted by Bowman; the Ancestry tree has a clipping of the notice, source). Giraud is the older form of Gerow. Her parents, Daniel A. Gerow of Yorktown and Fishkill and Anna Hammond, are the tree’s, from The Giraud-Gerow Family in America, which has not been seen; nothing yet ties Sarah “of Manchester” (Ontario County) to that Dutchess County family, and through them to the Huguenot Girauds of New Rochelle.
