Samuel Hall Noel
English-born optician, father of Maud (Noel) Morilon, later the wife of Capt. Richard Blackmer Holbrook Jr. He came to America about 1883, practised in Seattle (1911) and then at Auburn, and died at Algona, King County, Washington, in 1924, survived by his second wife, Donna.

An optician, born in England in 1861, the son of Henry Noel and Katherine Hall. He came to America about 1883, and his daughter Maud was born in Illinois in 1888. He was in Seattle by 1910, when he witnessed Maud’s marriage to John R. Morilon, and in 1911 he and Morilon lived in the same building, 107 1st Avenue North. By 1913 he had his business at Auburn, King County. He and his wife Elizabeth had divorced by 1918, when she died at the King County Hospital. In Jan 1920 he was at Algona with his second wife, Denna or Donna C., born in Iowa (FamilySearch, 1920 census, 1:1:MHN7-MTQ). He died there on 2 Aug 1924, eleven months after the death of Capt. Richard Blackmer Holbrook Jr., the second husband of his daughter, by then Mrs. Hiram Wallace of Pollock, South Dakota.
