About it

Eastern Kentucky from Morgan and Magoffin to Pike, with Floyd, Johnson, Knott and Letcher. “Shelby or Shelbiana P.O.” marks the mouth of Shelby Creek on the Levisa Fork, just south of Pikeville. Pike was cut from Floyd County in 1821, which moved Meredith Collins to a new county without his taking a step. From Molata, chapter five.
