- note
- Robert Day of Ipswich, in the compiled accounts (Historic Ipswich lists her among the children of Robert and Hannah (Pengry) Day). Her husband's deposition of March 1664 speaks of horses that ran with "his father-in-law Day's" (Essex Quarterly Courts 3:122-123), a contemporary record that his wife was a Day.
Wife of Robert Lord, marshal of Ipswich (d. 1696), and mother of James Lord Sr. (b. 27 Jan 1676/7). Hammatt and Felt both give her as Hannah Day. As Marshal Lord's widow she "possessed the rights of commonage, and had horses on the common, 1697" (Hammatt p. 209). Hammatt lists her sons as Robert (b. 1657), John, Thomas, Joseph (b. 1674), James (b. 27 Jan 1676) and Nathaniel (b. 1681).
