Pike County order book, March term 1829

Among the families summoned in March 1829 are “George Collans & Patsy Kirk, Martin Collans & Mary Collans, Moredy Collans and Milly Johnson,” called “To appear at Our next May term to shew Cause if any they can Why, Their Children Shall not be bound out.” The facing page has the commissioners’ plan for a brick clerk’s office for the county.
