About it

The little steamer Neptune, owned by Capt. E. A. Swift, leaves Seattle for the run between Seldovia and Sunrise City in Cook Inlet, with more than 100 tons of explosives and machinery for the Rainbow Mining Company: “Capt. Ira Meyers will have charge of the vessel in the North. She sails under command of Capt. B. Dennison.” Kept for Capt. Ira Meyers, who in the family’s belief was the Mr. Myers whom Elizabeth Jane Davis married; that is not yet confirmed by a record.
