The Capt. R. B. Holbrook house, San de Fuca, Whidbey Island, 1983
About it
A frame house of a storey and a half with a front porch, photographed in 1983. The inventory that goes with it says that Capt. R. B. Holbrook came to central Whidbey Island in 1852 and settled on 160 acres in the centre of San de Fuca, living in a tent through the summer and building a small log cabin in the fall, and that he built this house in 1874. It stood a little west of its present site until it was moved about 1930, and was altered about 1940 and 1950.
