About it

A man swinging a sledge at a stake while another holds it and a third looks on (page 1); on the back (page 2): “Ellingwood. Cudge driving a stake for ‘horseshoe’ game at Camp Cowles - Diamond [?] Lake on a Rotary trip in July 1948. Van der Loeff [?] holding the stake,” stamped “076.” Camp Cowles is the Scout camp on Diamond Lake, north of Spokane. Cudge had joined the Rotary Club in 1941 (his memoir, scan 147).
