Signed "Hannah R Low," dated Deer Isle, November 1875. She asks for administration, saying that "said deceased died on the 17th day of September A.D. 1874 intestate, seized and possessed of estate in said County." No inventory was among the case-file images read.
This settles that the man who died at Deer Isle on 17 Sept 1874, after the Paragon was run down, was Capt. Nathan Low.
Read through FamilySearch Full-Text Search, whose machine transcription stands beside the image; checked for sense, not letter by letter against the image (Low master research, 6 Oct 2026).
