Found by a browser assistant searching FamilySearch, 9 Oct 2026; read on the image. Headed "Holbrook, Richard; Pollock, South Dakota; September 28, 1923." He died of typhoid fever at the Bismarck hospital; services were held in the Presbyterian church, Rev. Odland officiating. Survivors: "Maude Holbrook and Donald and Douglas."

Probably abstracted from the Pollock paper of that week, the Campbell County Progress; the full notice may say more. The cause of death is not on the copy of his death certificate (Certificate of death of Richard Holbrook, Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota, 22 Sept 1923).
