Read from the Internet Archive's OCR, 12 Oct 2026. When J. W. Jones said the farmers could not pay $15 to $30 an acre for water, "Mr. Pattullo replied that they had better get off their farms if that was true." The same day E. D. Barrow claimed the Sumas land had been made available "at a lower cost than had ever been possible on any other land in British Columbia." See Duff Pattullo, 22nd Premier of British Columbia: what did he get right, and what did he get wrong?.
