From the research files: "Mr. Ralph Ellingwood, of Frankfort, who died in April, at the age of 81, had lived with his wife on the same farm, for sixty-four years." Also in The Flag of Our Union, 4 July 1857. His stone at Ellingwood Corner Cemetery, Winterport, reads 11 Apr 1859, aged 87y 3m, probably a misreading or recutting.
