"Captain Richard B. Holbrook" and "Mrs. Jessie Clifford" married at the residence of clergyman John F. Dawson, 910 Fifth Avenue, Seattle. Witnesses William J. Hartley and Mrs. M. B. Frars.
The marriage return (Marriage return no. 4461, King County, Washington: Richard B. Holbrook and Jessie Clifford, 28 Sept 1900, no. 4461) types the minister as "Rev. John F. Damon," as the Seattle Post-Intelligencer has him, and the second witness as "Mrs. M. P. Sears," and calls the bride Jessie Clifford, first marriage. The readings "Dawson," "Frars" and "Mrs." above are worth checking against the certificate image.
