"Early at Dorchester, Mass., where, in May, 1634, he was made freeman; in 1635 sold his ho. and lands to Richard Jones; soon after rem. to W.; in 1639 went to Poq., 4 m. W. of W." Stiles says he "was, in 1639, one of those who rep. W. and Hartford in the forming of the Constitution of the Col. of Conn." (source); that claim still needs checking against the colonial records. His widow Elizabeth married James Eno. Through his daughters Elizabeth (Mrs. Josias Ellsworth) and Abigail (Mrs. Samuel Bissell) he is an ancestor of Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth and of the Bissell and Eno kin.
