The youngest of Jesse and Mary's children. In 1856, orphaned, he was living with the Hendon family, a mulatto household of landowners in Wells Township. Enlisted at Springfield, Missouri, 17 Aug 1864, in Company H, 46th Missouri Infantry (Capt. Alsup); mustered in 9 Sep 1864; killed in action eight weeks later. Parsons Cemetery is also the burial place of Isaiah "Cuppy" Collins, of the Branch A Collins family, and he may have joined distant Collins kin in that region [?].
