His first wife Hannah died at Attleborough on 26 June 1728.

Wife of Matthew White of Norton, and after his death of Benjamin Tree. Her move to Attleborough with Tree probably explains why her daughter Mary White "lived for some reason, in Attleboro," as Mollie Pfeiffer put it (inference). With Benjamin Tree she had a daughter, Mary Tree, born 22 Sept 1732, when Damaris was 43 (Lothrop).

The Deane memoir (1849) lists her among the children of Benjamin Deane: "Damaris, b. Sept. 4, 1689, m. Matthew White." Mollie made her a daughter of Walter Dean; she was his granddaughter.
